What Does A-S-L Have To Do With Real Estate?

I’m sharing a bit about myself and my real estate experience.

I noticed that I’ve been sending you videos asking for your business, but I haven’t even properly introduced myself to you! Today I’d like to change that by dating myself a little bit. Remember the days of AOL Instant Messenger? Back then, A.S.L meant “age, sex, location,” so here’s my A.S.L:

My name is Nick Good, the team leader and owner of the Good Home Team with eXp Realty, and I’ve been in the business since 2005. I was born in Dallas but grew up in Plano, and I currently reside in McKinney, Texas, with my wife, two children, and a golden doodle.

Before I got into the real estate industry, I was delivering pizzas in college. At the time, my brother and I wanted to get involved in the real estate investment game, so when I saw a job posting for a real estate assistant, I applied and got the job. That job opened my eyes to the huge opportunity to become a Realtor, the kind of person who could help clients buy, sell, and invest in real estate.

" Let’s go back to the days of AOL Instant Messenger for a minute. "

Typically when people buy or sell real estate, they’re going through some kind of life event. That could be just being tired of throwing money away on rents; studies show that homeowners have 44 times the net worth that renters do. It could also be that people are getting married and want to start a family, meaning they’d need to upsize their house. The opposite could also be true, in the case of those whose children have moved out and they no longer need all the space in their home. That’s what we love about the real estate business—being able to help people through whatever situation they’re in at the time.

I just wanted to make sure that you all got to know me better before I ask for your business. If you or someone you know is thinking about buying or selling a home, please let us at the Good Home Team know. If you’re interested in learning about how to invest in real estate, we’d love to help you get started.

P.S.: We are currently hiring for real estate agents, so keep an eye on our blog for a video where we’ll explain our hiring process!

I just wanted to thank you for coming out to our client appreciation event. We had a great turnout of people to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie, “Christopher Robin.”

If you missed it, don't worry. You have another chance. We have our annual client appreciation party for the pumpkin patch coming up in October, so be on the lookout for that.

Also, if you haven’t heard, our team is involved in a 60- to 90-day competition right now. The goal is to see who can help the most sellers, so we would love to serve if you if you’re looking to list.

Again, if you were able to do so, thank you for coming out to our recent event. We truly appreciate it and look forward to seeing you at our next one.

I want to personally invite you to our upcoming client appreciation event. For the second year in a row, we’re renting out the movie theater at Look Cinema for a screening of “Christopher Robin,” the new film featuring Winnie the Pooh and his friends.

Our event will take place on August 11, and we’ll be starting at 11:30 a.m. We’re giving the first opportunity to RSVP to this event to our past and current clients, as well as anyone we’ll be doing business with in the near future. The limit is four tickets per person or couple—for larger couples, we can make exceptions.

For this event, we are partnering up with a special charity, the DFW Angels. Their mission is to help foster children, so they’re gathering up schools supplies to make sure that kids have enough supplies when they go back to school. We’re looking for items like new backpacks, lunch boxes, thermoses, Crayola crayons, No. 2 pencils, Elmer glue sticks, and similar.

Seats are filling up fast, so if you’d like to RSVP, do so now right here.

We look forward to seeing you there! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Our New Technology That Will Help Both Buyers and Sellers

Today we’re announcing our partnership with our newest technology, InsideMaps. This technology will help you gain more exposure for the home you are selling.

I am excited to announce that we have partnered with a new technology, InsideMaps, to help you gain more exposure for your home. As I have mentioned before, the more exposure you get, the better chances you have of getting an offer. And, the better chance you have of getting an offer or multiple offers, the higher the sales price.

InsideMaps is a proprietary technology that we will be able to offer to all of our sellers’ listings. It will offer 3D technology in video format. Older 3D technology can take a long time to load and doesn't do much for the buyer's experience. 3D technology is also great for online rankings, so when buyers are searching for homes, this will come up in the video ranking, which means great news for our clients’ exposure.

Along with this, we will also offer floor plans on all of our listings. Floor plans are great for buyers who are relocating because they can see the layout labeled with the room type as well as the dimensions of each room.

This is also a great tool for homes that need to be flipped because a buyer can see the potential in the house. It provides the home’s current floor plan, which allows buyers to imagine how they might rearrange it.

No matter how it is used, InsideMaps is just one way that we can make your home more valuable in buyers’ eyes, which will encourage them to make an offer.

If you are interested in learning more about this technology or are interested in buying or selling, please feel free to reach out to me. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

What's the Difference Between an Inspection and an Appraisal?

Today I wanted to clear up any confusion about home inspections and appraisals.

Today I wanted to talk about the difference between appraisals and home inspections.

The purpose of an appraisal is for the lender to determine the home value. They want to make sure that they are protecting their assets, and that if they have to take that property back, they aren’t overextending on their loan and losing money on its resale.

A home inspection is done for the benefit of the buyer. While the home is under contract, the buyer will hire a licensed, third-party inspector who will help determine the condition of the property. A general inspector will check out the roof, the structure, electrical, plumbing, and more.

A home inspection is done for the benefit of the buyer.

This will give the future homeowner a clear picture of the condition of the home and prepare them for future maintenance issues, as well as negotiating any repairs before moving into the house.

If you have any questions about this topic or you’re thinking about buying a home, please give us a call. We would be happy to help!

Introducing Nick Good and the Good Home Team

I’m Nick Good and today, I’d like to explain how we at the Good Home Team can help you make the biggest financial decision of your life.

There are a lot of real estate agents out there and, unfortunately, they get the bad rap of being like car salesmen: they over-promise and under deliver.

I’ve been a Realtor going on 10 years now. As the leader of the Good Home Team with Keller Williams, I’m most passionate about really helping our clients and making sure they get the best experience out of the biggest financial decision of their lives.

A lot of real estate agents want to be a one-stop shop; they want to be the only person involved. You can’t be the janitor and the salesperson. What’s unique about our company is that we have a team of dedicated experts.

When you work with us, someone is there to help you every step of the way. If you are listing your home, we have staging experts to make your property look its best. We also have assistants who are experts at communicating, so you will never be left in the dark during your transaction.

We are a team of dedicated experts.
Helping people make the biggest purchase decision of their lives makes us feel great. At the end of the day, I’m most proud of helping our clients spend hundreds of thousands of dollars. It really is a big dig, and they put their trust and faith in us. They hire us to get great results, and that’s what we do.

If you are thinking of buying or selling a home or if you have any real estate questions, just give me a call or send me an email. My team and I are happy to help you.
